Welcome

Welcome to the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals -North Carolina Chapter (NAPO-NC).

Founded in 1985, The National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) is a non-profit group of about 4,200 professional organizers dedicated to helping individuals and businesses bring order and efficiency to their lives. Our vision is to have the world recognize the value of organizing and turn to NAPO as the leading organizing authority. Our mission is to develop, lead, and promote professional organizers and the organizing industry.

NAPO-NC began as an interest group during the NAPO annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. Cyndy Ratcliffe, Erica Edelman and Josette Chmiel set out to turn the interest group around to meet NAPO’s requirements to become an official Informal Chapter in 2003.

After numerous informal chapter meetings involving just five Professional Organizers throughout 2003, the requirements to become an official chapter were met in September 2003. The NAPO board of directors voted NAPO-NC as the 18th official chapter of NAPO. While the chapter is official, the board and its members are working diligently to continue to build the foundation. The board is more than pleased with the progress and growth of the chapter. We became a chapter of thirty-five members in just under a year.
